My sending unit on the holding tank is not working dispite the fact its fairly new and so I was checking the wiring on it again and saw a single black wire coming from the motorhome and then anothet wire from the sending unit to the frame of the motorhome. Is this correct? Was thinking I should see 2 wires coming from the coach, 1 black, (ground), and 1 brown (live) according to the wiring diagram? Is this correct that I should have 2 wires?

Tom,

With a modicum of caution, because mine is a 73, all three level senders are a single wire and a frame ground. That frame ground on the holding tank was a consistent issue until I created a clean place for a tapped hole, sealed all the connections with heat shrink and then buried the frame connection in a mound of sealant. That was about 8 years ago.
