I suspect some of you may be interested in this V-Belt Tensioner, even at
its absurd price:

https://www.mscdirect.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/details/35438209

It was formerly available from Fastenal also, at $10 more, but they now
report it No Longer Available.

After offering up that link, I got to thinking about it; There are
probably more of you who, like me, would rather spend 30 minutes and I suspect some of you may be interested in this V-Belt Tensioner, even at[/color]

Is it threaded for tension? I can't quite tell how it works from the photo.

I have something just like that except mine came from horror fright. I doubt if I paid more than $6 for it.

I bought one of theses, it's waiting to go back to the seller. it's really
lightweight. It broke the first time I tried to use it, I only turned it a
couple times before the weld in the saddle broke.

I have one.

Yes, it has a threaded section. Wrench on the hex section to extend or retract.

Saddle also broke off of mine. Very weak resistance weld at point of cone to the saddle. MIG welded the saddles on and now it works fine (just not as pretty).

I bought one of those about 40 years ago. Might still have it in a toolbox somewhere. It works but can be awkward to use if you don't have open access to the pulleys and room for the wrench to turn. If the pulleys are too far apart it's kind of wobbly.
