Ran across www.delcity.net the other day for a non gmc project, they do exist I am told. Got their free catalog and found that they specialize in 12V wiring. The catalog has wire sizing charts, descriptions of all the different wires and insulation that you might consider, and access to smaller quantities that we need, in all the insulation colors so you can maintain those color codes. The first item I bought was a couple of rocker switches for an electric hoist, pricing was very good.
A second resource is www.waytek.com . This vendor specializes in heavy duty truck type wiring devices.

Hang on here folks, someone just mentioned the wire sizing chart and that is a trigger subject for me.
Why is the size chart a trigger for me?
For starters, voltage drop is not a percentage. It is Volts Lost - Plain and Simple.
Because people use these charts and believe them and they are functionally WRONG. Both DelCity and Ancor use the same assumptions and cause the same mistakes. DelCity starts with a 10% table and adds little notes. One note says you have to include that you are going two ways. (There is no frame ground in fiberglass boats.) The other says that you have to double the wire size for a 5% loss, but give no hint how to do this. (You don't double the wire size or even half it.) At least Ancor starts with the 3% table. That is closer but it can still lead to trouble.
Even if you get the 10% right, when the power gets to the fan or pump at the other end, what was a 12.6 battery terminal is now 11.4 and whatever runs slower than expected. (And much slower than it did at the display.) At least lights just get dim. If you go for the 3%, things aren't as bad, but at high loads, they sure can turn out to be providing you remembered the doubling bit.
As a side note, I have twice had trouble with high resistance grounds in our GMC and now add the wire ground for all new installations. That saves having to trouble shoot it later.
Do not ever try to use the wire tables of residential wiring. Those are based completely on the heating of the conductor and the potential loss of insulation. A very different situation.
We also have another little issue brought on by the availability of good documentation. That long wire that connects the front to the back is listed as #10. It is, but it is #10 SAE which is about 10% less than a #10 AWG wire. So, you wonder why it takes so long to recover the house bank while driving? Now you know.
The back story:
Before the depression shut down South Pointe Chandler LLC, we did lots of house system upgrades for "Performance Cruisers". This is what they call a racing sloop that has been relegated to cruising. Now the owner wants to be comfortable in the living spaces and has lost interest in the weight the used to be such a critical issue. But he really wants things to work reliably. One of the first mods suggested is always going to separate house and engine battery banks. Sound Familiar? Then we have to upgrade the power panel and it usually didn't even have half the circuits that are now needed.

I dumpster picked a Clarke/Alto floor scrubber which is 36VDC and need to get the batt jumpers. I can get them at those sites. Probably worth trying to fix as they are over $10k new.

I'm bad. It is www.waytekwire.com . I have ordered lots of items from them. Particular interesting for me/us are Delphi Connectors, contacts, crimping tools, etc. They are EXACTLY what GM and almost everybody else uses now for automotive and truck applications. They also have Eaton fuse and relay blocks, again, the real stuff, in smaller quantities.
