G'day,

Peer Schmidt finished up the scans of the GMC Manuals, Parts Book, and Wiring Diagrams. The latest generation of professional
scanning equipment Peer had at his disposal rendered very good quality text, line drawings, and photographs.

They can be downloaded by:

1) Clicking on this link: https://cloud.theinternet.de/index.php/s/WusLd1xoEw3drzI

Note: depending on the browser you use you may get a security warning or a page that notes the information is not available.

2) Click on proceed to web page anyway or click on Advanced in the lower left corner

3) The password is gmcmh

As far as I am concerned anyone can download these manuals and put them on their website, USB stick, flash drive, CD / DVD,
whatever. I consider these manuals to be in the Public Domain.

There is one and only one caveat, if anyone downloads and modifies / edits / improves them in any way shape or form; copies of the
modified / edited / improved manuals are to be sent to Peer Schmidt so he can add them to iCloud so they in turn can be downloaded
by anyone that wants them.

Regards,
Rob M.

Thank you both! Rob and Peer, you have gone above and beyond and the
collective group will benefit from your work and collaboration for many
years to come.

These scans are excellent!

Now if I could just find equally beautiful Coachman manual scans...

There is one folder, and one ZIP file. The ZIP file contains the
unaltered scans, the folder contains the named and montaged scans.

Kim,

I hope it is okay the way we did it, that we first did all the scans. If
you want to store the clickable PDFs on my system, let me know, and I
will give you write access to the folder. Otherwise I will just move
them in whenever you publish them elsewhere.

@All: Main thanks have to go to Rob for allowing me to cut open his
perfectly fine manuals.

@All2: If you want to jump around to specific pages or something, for
example to chapter 23, search for "23." within the PDF and it will jump
to it, due to the, imho, very nice OCR engine.

Peer, on my Win10 machine these are both downloading as zipped folders with the same name. I assume the German one with "GMC Bilder Schaltplan.pdf" and tif files is the one with unaltered scans?

The 93mb are the correct size for the schematics.

Rob & Peer,

Thanks a whole bunch for giving us some legible photos!!!

The schematics are going to put me to work, however. The couple I've
looked at are only slightly better than the ones we already have. But,
with a tiny bit of enhancement, they ARE better so I'll try to go through
them all and provide them to Alan for production of the blown up versions.

THANKS,

Ken H.

Ken,

Peer sent me the first schematic scan he did noting the same thing as you did vis-à-vis the quality. I compared it to the existing
scan and agreed. I noted that the existing scans were good enough to work with so it was up to him whether or not to do all the work
to re do them. I noted that if anyone wanted schematics that were easy to trace they could get an enlarged set from Alan.

The schematics are .png raster graphic files and seem to scale well. If you have Windows Paint buried on your desktop somewhere, you can print it larger across multiple sheets of paper.

[1] Open the image you'd like to print in Paint
[2] Select: Print -> Page Setup (Vista and 7), or File -> Page Setup (in XP)
[3] Under Scaling, select Fit to and change the setting to something like "2 by 2 page(s)"
[4] Click OK
[5] Print the image from Paint, and make sure to select "All Pages"

More on this here:
http://scottiestech.info/2009/08/08/how-to-easily-print-a-large-image-to-multiple-pages-in-windows/

There are some other poster-izing programs out there, too, but many here will have Paint already.

I plan on embedding each of the schematics into appropriately sized PDF
sheets. That should help people with Adobe Acrobat Reader to print them
out nicely.

But with this service available for single-sheet prints, why bother?:

or
