Based on my apparently stock Avion, if you want to paint the front interior cap, by removing it from the coach, you must remove the headliner. Avion installed both the front cap and the piece of white plastic trim at the front of the headliner with pop rivets. These will have to be removed before you can take out the front interior cap.
Proceeding with replacing the headliner. Most of the old stuff is out. An interesting project, perhaps not the most fun, but interesting. A great opportunity to install additional 12v wiring (future expansion) and TV coax.
