John and Bill,

I believe driver side window locations on the 76 Edgemont and 77 GMC furnished twin bed models are different than the other models.

Front door window and kitchen window that opened were an option. Years ?

Edgemont = no galley window

Galley & door window options for 1975 - 78.

From MY understanding, there are 6 basic exterior configurations.

A quick and dirty render of the passenger/driver sides of all six (3x 230, and 3x 260). Of course, there are dozens of interior layouts... Ugh!!

John,

You have missed the transit version of the 260 with two right side doors. The extra door was all the way aft.

Was that a production version?? I have never seen one. I was under the impression that it was just a proposed project to get transit companies interested in buying them. If they do exist, was it a factory modded TransMode, or an aftermarket mod??

Pretty drawings, but never seen a picture of a real one.

John,

I believe is was a GM factory build. It was marked with the logo and colors of a local university. I know the guy that had it last, but I don't know where he put it when he bought and moved it. If I find his contact information or see him again, I will ask him where it is and take some pictures.

Someone emailed me pics of these. Turns out, they DO exist. Cool. Modified TransModes, from the sounds it. Makes sense of course. I had just never seen any before.

I updated the image for the quick and dirty render - V2.0.
